TCA9548A PCA9548A 1-to-8 I2C Multi-Channel HW-617 IIC Module is an I2C bus expansion module designed to connect multiple I2C devices with the same or different addresses to a single microcontroller. This 8-channel I2C multiplexer breakout board allows one I2C master device such as Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or other development boards to communicate with up to eight separate I2C channels.

The TCA9548A I2C multiplexer module works as a bidirectional I2C switch that separates the main SDA/SCL bus into eight selectable downstream channels.
