The SOP8 TSSOP8 SSOP8 to DIP8 Adapter is a compact, dual-sided PCB adapter designed to allow small-package SMD ICs to be used on standard 2.54 mm pitch breadboards, perfboards, sockets, and programmers. It is compatible with SO, SOP, SOIC, SSOP, TSSOP, and MSOP 8-pin IC packages.
This adapter is ideal for prototyping, testing, repairing circuits, or programming microcontrollers such as PIC12F629 / PIC12F675 and many similar devices. Simply solder the SMD IC to the appropriate side of the board, add header pins (not included), and plug it into any DIP-based socket or breadboard.
