The Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 is the latest addition to the Official Raspberry Pi camera lineup, featuring a cutting-edge 12 Megapixel Sony IMX708 image sensor. Equipped with powered autofocus, enhanced low-light sensitivity, and HDR (High Dynamic Range) support, it's an ideal choice for diverse Raspberry Pi projects.
You can choose between a standard 75° or wide-angle 120° lens (select the version before adding to cart), providing flexibility for specific project requirements. Additionally, there's an infrared-sensitive NoIR version tailored for night photography.
Key specifications include the ability to capture 4608×2592 pixel images and shoot video at various resolutions, such as 4608×2592 @14 FPS, 2304×1296 @56 FPS, and 1536×864 @120 FPS. HDR mode, when enabled, limits the resolution to 2304×1296 @ 30 FPS.
For board compatibility:
- Compatible with all Raspberry Pi boards featuring a full-size camera connector (CSI connector).
- Raspberry Pi 5 users require a Raspberry Pi 5 camera adapter cable due to the smaller CSI connector.
- Raspberry Pi Zero users need an adapter cable for the smaller CSI connector.
