Principle of Operation:

The KY-013 uses an NTC thermistor whose resistance decreases as temperature increases.

• At lower temperatures, the thermistor resistance is higher.

• At higher temperatures, the thermistor resistance becomes lower.

• The onboard voltage divider converts resistance changes into analog voltage.

• The microcontroller reads this voltage and calculates the corresponding temperature value.
